If you’re a current BAS member, bring one of your unfinished or imperfect original pieces (the “dud”) to our next meeting at Kosta’s Restaurant on December 16th to be completed by a fellow BAS member artist. Choose someone else’s unfinished or imperfect piece and add to or change the piece as you see fit.

Your finished collaborative pieces may then be entered into this BAS Members Only Collaborative Art Show, which will take place at the Rock & Art Shop at 36 Central St. Bangor, ME, from February 9-22, 2026.

This exhibit also pays tribute to artist Richard Newman, a member of The Bangor Art Society who passed away on Nov 13th. A selection of his 2D artwork will be on display in honor of his life as an accomplished and award-winning artist and teacher, well known for working in several mediums.

First Fridays Art Walks are on pause for the remaining fall and winter months this year, and will resume again in March 2026.

The First Fridays Art Walks are monthly community events featuring local artists and venues located in downtown Bangor, Maine.

These Art Walks are produced by volunteers in cooperation with Downtown Bangor Partnership, The Bangor Art Society, and dozens of local businesses.

This celebration of art and artists, held in the historic downtown shopping, dining, arts and commerce district, is held on the first Friday of every month.

Venues and artists change every month, so be sure to check back often for the latest month’s offering!
